Vista Equity Partners and Blackstone have agreed to acquire Smartsheet, a work management software provider, in a deal valued at approximately $8.4 billion. The transaction, which includes a cash offer of $56.50 per share, is expected to close by early 2025, with Smartsheet becoming a privately held company​

Amazon has introduced a fully managed option within its "Supply Chain by Amazon" service, allowing sellers to automate logistics from product pickup to delivery. This service optimizes inventory placement and replenishment, aiming to speed up delivery and improve sales, with sellers reportedly seeing up to a 20% increase in sales conversion due to faster shipping times

Intuit has launched the Intuit Enterprise Suite, an AI-powered financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and management solution aimed at growing businesses. The platform integrates financial, payroll, HR, marketing, and cash flow tools, offering advanced reporting and project-level financial insights. It’s a mini ERP solution.

Headline says it all - a growing, large market.

Industry Movement

SAP is investing two billion euros in sovereign cloud solutions aimed at providing highly secure and localized cloud services for regulated industries and the public sector. This includes partnerships with Microsoft, using the Azure platform, and other initiatives to enhance data sovereignty and compliance with local regulations

SAP has expanded its AppHaus in Palo Alto, creating a new, larger space designed for customer collaboration and innovation, with a focus on leveraging AI and SAP's Business Technology Platform.

Fluff piece, but some interesting ERP perspectives. In a conversation at SuiteWorld 2024, Nicky Tozer, EMEA Senior Vice President at Oracle NetSuite, discussed the company's focus on making technology accessible through user-friendly, low-code platforms.

FC Bayern has deepened its partnership with SAP to enhance fan engagement and operational efficiency. Using SAP’s Emarsys and SuccessFactors solutions, the club personalizes content for its global fanbase and streamlines processes like ticketing and point-of-sale management, improving both fan experience and internal operations​
