Alex’s Note
Hope everyone is having a great final few weeks before Thanksgiving. If you’re looking for your next book read for upcoming travel trips I highly recommend How to Build a Car by Adrian Newey (must read for any formula 1 fans out there) and How to Hide an Empire which provides a great overview of the American Empire of the 20th century.
Onto the ERP news.
Headlines & Trends
Intuit has introduced QuickBooks Sole Trader in the UK, a cloud-based accounting solution tailored for sole traders, including single-property landlords and construction subcontractors. Priced at £5 per month for the first six months and £10 thereafter, the software offers features like AI-driven automation, mobile access, and compliance with upcoming Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
Industry Movement
Cogna Ltd., a U.K.-based enterprise resource planning startup, has secured $15 million in Series A funding led by Notion Capital, with participation from Hoxton Ventures and Chalfen Ventures. The company utilizes artificial intelligence to expedite ERP deployment, offering setup times as short as two weeks by generating custom software tools through a chatbot-like interface powered by large language models.
Thought Pieces
