And we’re back! Took a brief hiatus to catch the flu, fly around the country for my startup, and finalize Everything ERP’s next launch: welcome to the Everything ERP Podcast!

One of the things that has come up during my time in the ERP industry is a lack of the experiences of an operator when going through one of their first ERP implementations. There is a lot of information about what an implementation looks like for a consultant, but not as much from the other side of the table.

The Everything ERP podcast is my attempt to address that gap. We’ll be interviewing operators - CFOs, COOs, business owners - from a variety of industries about what their experience has been. What solutions they’ve considered, how they selected a consultant, the problems they ran into, etc….

A big shoutout to our friend Bryan Siegal for sharing his experience across multiple ERP implementations at manufacturing startups that were ready to scale. I hope you find our conversation as enlightening as I did!

There’s been a few ERP partnerships recently including SAP and Databricks:

SAP data cloud, Databricks integration aims to unify AI data (~4-5 min read)
SAP and Databricks have integrated SAP Datasphere with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform to unify enterprise data, enabling real-time analytics and AI-driven insights without complex data replication.

Andreessen Horowitz wrote an interesting piece on the Opportunity for Next-Gen ERPs (~5-6 min read). They discuss the trend on how Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are evolving to meet modern business needs, with a shift toward modular, AI-driven, and cloud-native architectures.

They aren’t the only ones talking about AI driven ERPs as Sage Intacct Adds AI Tools and Features to Boost Finance Teams (~4-5 min read)  and Oracle NetSuite Unveils AI Tools for Australia & NZ Firms (~4-5 min read). Both companies focused on AI automations for the financial office, aiming to make financial automation, analysis and planning easier for CFOs.

Workday Launches New ‘Agent System of Record’ to Manage AI Workforce (~4-5 min read) Workday has introduced an "Agent System of Record" to track and manage AI-based digital workers alongside human employees. This system aims to provide governance, visibility, and compliance for AI-driven automation, ensuring seamless workforce integration and operational efficiency.

On the funding side of things, Stripe in Talks for Staff Share Sales at $65B Valuation (~4-5 min read) Stripe is reportedly exploring a secondary share sale that would allow employees to sell stock at a valuation of around $65 billion - slightly down from their peak valuation, but not by much.

This month Tyler Technologies Expands Public Sector Portfolio with Acquisition of MyGov (~4-5 min read). Tyler Technologies acquired MyGov to enhance its public sector software offerings, focusing on permitting, licensing, and code enforcement solutions.
